What a great game. I love blow-outs (assuming it’s the Chiefs on the winning side that is) but the games that are such a struggle that you’re on the edge of your seat the whole time are a close second. I was a smidge off in my prediction of the Chiefs winning by ten, but since it was only by four points it’s close enough.

As far as the offense goes I still think Priest isn’t quite back to his old self. He was getting more yardage per run at the end of the game but prior to that he was at like a 1.5 average. I don’t recall what Roaf injured but hopefully he’s back soon because the line, although still good, is definitely hurting without him.

I still need more convincing that the defense is as improved as much of the press seems to think they are. No doubt they are better than in the past few years, but so far we’ve had two games where the opposing team made a lot of mistakes that made their stats look better. Even with Surtain back they were still getting chewed up as far as the passing game goes. They did make some great stands when absolutely necessary though.

My biggest concern at this point continues to be injuries since they’ve already had an inordinate amount especially for only being two games into the season. If the injuries stay fairly minor overall and/or slow down then I think they’ll be in pretty good shape. We’ve had a lot of luck so far and hopefully that continues for a while.

As far as Denver next week I’m going to guess Chiefs by seven, but since I didn’t see any of their last game that’s just a wild ass guess is all.
